Helicopter History - The origin of helicopters

Rc Helicopter

People have always looked with envy the birds wanting to fly in the sky with them. Throughout human history, there have been many attempts have been defying gravity.

The first attempt, a "machine" that was to be able to fly, was in fact a form of helicopters. This was invented in China, and was in reality simply a toy, rather than anything that can bring a man. The child would turn the toy around the palms of your hands, until enough is generated to lift andmay be issued.

The first project was realistic helicopter by 15 Century Leonardo da Vinci created. Unfortunately, Leonardo's visions were never not living full-size models because of the technology of the day to meet the needs identified. The designs were created by Leonardo on ahead of time.

There have been many other attempts to create something that a helicopter recalled for centuries to come. But at the end of the 19 st Century, technology was not simplyenough to make the dream a reality. Until then, nothing was enough to provide enough power to generate enough lift.

Of course it exploded with the advent of the internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine, the helicopter is a viable option. But also occurred with this technique, many different problems. This is caused by a lack of understanding of physical principles, and especially torqueBalance. The first prototype has a tendency to turn around. Others have been very difficult to control, that is, if never really managed to get into the air.

In 1907 a French inventor, a helicopter, a twin-rotor is used. This has managed to take off the ground for a few seconds. There was not much further improvement until 1924, when another French man could do with a controlled flight, which lasted about 7 minutes.

In the coming yearsYears ago there were dozens of more successful attempts by the French, British, Dutch, Russian and Spanish, to name a few. In 1936, however, the helicopter began to resemble the modern helicopter. The German Focke-Wolfe Fw 61 was able to fly up to 143 miles at 11 240 feet.

So helicopter flight began in earnest. Later design companies such as Sikorsky, Bell, and Mil helicopters that would be the basis for the modern helicopter.
